GODDESS EVA (2019)

Goddess Eva with her creation Eve, 2019 is a mixed media installation with video. The perilous state of the natural world leads me, as a woman, to wonder about an alternative creation myth, one in which the creator is a Goddess. Goddess Eva sets her most wonderful creation, Eve, into an oceanic garden. It is a healthy garden without the tricky apple of Eden. Eve has been hatched from Goddess Eva’s miraculous broth. Their conversation is imagined in the accompanying video (above).
